A boy finds a little wolf that hunts for him; after the boy’s brother-in-law mistreats it, the wolf runs away, and the boy follows to a big lake where an old woman helps him cross and identifies the wolf as a chief’s son.
The boy’s little wolf helps him hunt and is later identified as the son of the chief in the village across the lake.
