Virádha asks the two men who they are. He says he is born of Śatahradá and Java, called Virádha by giants, and that Brahmá’s grace gave him a body no weapon can pierce; he commands the brothers to leave the woman with him.
Virádha claims a boon preventing weapons from piercing him; arrows pass through or fail to harm him, and he continues fighting after the brothers’ attacks.
