The Poetic Edda GUTHRUNARKVITHA II, EN FORNA / THE SECOND, OR OLD, LAY OF GUTHRUN / INTRODUCTORY NOTE / NOTES; lines 17775-17884 confidence: high
Stanzas 22-25 describe the draught of forgetfulness Grimhild gives Guthrun, as she gave one to Sigurth to make him forget Brynhild; the note says the draught does not seem to work and mentions blood of swine with a cross-reference to Hyndluljoth.
Grimhild gives Guthrun a draught of forgetfulness and had given Sigurth a comparable draught to make him forget Brynhild.
