    Several named tribes are especially given to tattooing and distinguished by three rows of cuts down the back and chest. Three back lines are almost exclusively made by a male friend using the e'la- or pig arrow. Women have small raised cuts made by women with glass or quartz flakes. A note says the patient abstains from pork during healing to hasten recovery.

    A note reports abstention from pork during healing after the severe back-marking operation, based on the belief that recovery will be faster.
