The Blessed One travels to Savatthi and stays at Jetavana; Visakha brings small jars, earthenware foot-scrubbers, and brooms, asks that acceptance be a blessing and joy, and the Blessed One accepts jars and brooms but not the foot-scrubbers.

The Blessed One distinguishes accepted and forbidden objects, allowing jars, brooms, sandstone, gravel, sea-foam, fans, flower-stands, and mosquito-fans while forbidding earthenware foot-scrubbers.
